About Me

I've been a Thurston County Resident for 35 years, I'm proud to call Olympia home. During that time I've raised four beautiful children, with one still in grade school, built a successful business, and now I'm ready to give back to the community that has given so much to our family. I believe my time as a parent and business owner has prepared me to face the challenges of serving on our school board, I recognize the importance of the position and look forward to the opportunity to earn your vote

Tough Times Ahead

Scholastics is one of the most difficult budget challenges we face, considering the shortcomings we face at State & Federal levels, it's important to have a board with the skills to be creative and resourceful with tax payer dollars.

As a small business owner, I understand the challenges that come with economic volatility and downturns. I'm a problem solver by nature, I will work diligently with administrators and teachers to use our funds effectively to provide the highest quality of education.

New Opportunities

There is a growing demand and opportunity for students who choose to forego a traditional four year college education

-Skilled Trade Apprenticeships

-Military Service

-Vocational Training

All of these are great choices for students, our area provides exceptional vocational programs thru SPSCC & New Market Vocational, we are also home for a large number of current and retired military families. I will encourage these programs and work to build stronger relationships with employers to build pathways for students after High School

Inspiring Leaders thru Mentorship

I believe it's important to pass down our life's experiences so that someone else might learn from them. Our kids live in a world that's moving faster than ever before, they face challenges that most of us couldn't imagine when we were their age.

Mentorship provides a great opportunity for students to gain knowledge and life experiences that they may not find in a book.

Congratulations, words of encouragement, or another perspective that will help a student accomplish a goal.
